Wow, to make a statement like that makes Australians look barbaric and ignorant if 300 million Americans, if any one so chooses to visit Australia have the possibility of being attacked for the policies of one American.

Thanks for posting this, Reluctant Redneck. I live in Alabama, surrounded by people who’ve rationalized evil American practices for so long that they’ve pretty much sold their souls. It’s great to see proof that my occasional stereotyping of rednecks is as wrong as Red state occupants’ stereotyping of everybody who’s not just like them.

You hit the nail on the head, our country was founded on the principals of rule of law and due process.

Israel had secure cockpit doors and armed marshalls on every flight since the late 1960’s and we suffer 3,000 plus deaths and an attack on our commerce and military hubs because lawfully possessed Stanley knives make it onto airliners.

We dropped the ball on 9/11.
