This is a mix i made of Chris Adler’s drum take and John Campell’s Bass take for redneck and i did it by request but can’t remember who asked me… but any way enjoy and just write to me if you want me to do more
@lilfili123 Triviums bassist fingers and picks
The whole bass picking or plucking thing is a bit ridiculous…Play it how ever it suits you
Everything you said is completely true. You can tell whos actually been involved with music (you) lol. I play both, and i know many many people who do. And some people such as myself, who are bassists can play fingers or pick….but most of my other friends are good bass players with a pick because theyre just “in a pinch” converts from playing a guitar.
it does make sense. A lot of bassists in bands are just guitarists that got stuck with bass so they use a pick and don’t really appreciate bass. There are some bass players that can use picks but still have the knowledge/concept of bass but most don’t. I know a lot of bass players that have no idea of what bass is because they’re philosophy is “it’s just a guitar with less strings”.
that makes no sense because triviums bassist uses pick and he knows exactly what a bass is for, jason newstead is a great bassist aswell tom araya doesnt do anything that bassist shouldnt
I hate picks in every way shape and form for bass because bassists how use them usually have no concept of what bass is, however, John Campbell knows exactly what a bass is for. He keeps the low end of the band and is in sync with the drums. He is an awesome bassist.
i used to be agaisnt picks but when you record it sounds soo sick
dude i knew he had to be good but now that i hear this i realize he’s A FUCKING GOOOODDDD!!!
Holy kickass drum’n'bass track, Batman!
Is that you what a freak! hahahahahahahahahahaha
WTF? why you such a little bitch. You need to learn how to buck up boy
wtf? how did u do it?
He does use a pick sometimes.
You can even hear it in the video…
Still, he is really talented and very underrated. And I don’t have anything against picks.
Thank you so much for uploading this, been looking everywhere for drum and bass Sacrament tracks.
In my opinion dragon force are try hard.
@mikehawk757 If you really want it, i’ll upload it for you
really is it on youtube i cant find it.if you have a link thatd be amazing
they did for laid to rest
Not a good picture to accompany it of him i know he does play with his fingers cuz of the videos i’ve seen but maybe its just me but it looks like a pick in his hand even if its his finger… a pick finger (Y) xD
that 5th string is just magic, any real bass player knows that. its cool to have the low end but then you’d need guitarists with a 7th string to accompany that
also want to add… he also uses his fingers, which is great, cos a lot of people go “oo, fast music, i’ll use a pick” but jon is better than that…
he’s badass
jon campbell FTW!
basically doesnt get the credit he deserves cos hes in such a talented band, overshadowed by 2 great guitarists, a great drummer, AND a great vocalist, but being a bass player myself… jon campbell is a legend… its great how he can be so metal and be a 4 string player =)… its suprising how many bassists end up using 5 strings just for the big heavy bottom end sound when playing metal, but jon shows us its not about how many strings you use, its about how you play them
bass is fun to play lol
id really like to hear laid to rest omerta and now youve got something to die for like this but i dont think they seperated the tracks for those songs
Yeah, but Dragonforce call themselves “EXTREME power metal”. And this doesn’t stop them from simply being called “power metal” (or “total garbage” depending on your opinion of Dragonforce).
